An overview of the POM 3 hardware
The POM 3 is a small form factor personal safety device meant to be attached to a key chain, to a purse, or kept in your pocket. Here is a basic overview of the buttons on the device and their function:
A micro USB cable comes with the POM 3. We recommend using the included cable to charge and can't guarantee performance of other micro USB cables.
There is an LED ring around the center button that is used to indicate connection status, charging status, and alert status. When the device is powered on, the LED will flash green and the device will say "Power On". The LED will then blink green if it is not connected to the POM Safe app. Once connected, the blinking will stop.
When using the One Hold feature, there is no LED indication, but the device will vibrate when the action is triggered.
LED Indicator
The LED indicator is multi-color and can indicate the following based on the color and state of the LED (and haptic motor where applicable):
Color | State | Meaning |
Green | Blinks twice rapidly | Powering On |
Green | Blinks every ten seconds | Powered on but not connected to Bluetooth |
Green | Blinks when alert button pressed | Unit is powered on, connected to Bluetooth, and battery is above 30% |
Blue | Blinks when alert button pressed | Unit is powered on, connected to Bluetooth, and battery is below 30% |
